H.E. Eng. Nasir Ahmad Durrani, the Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD), inaugurated the start of work on 2,900 meters long road project in Farza district of Kabul province.
The above mentioned infrastructure project will be implemented at a budget of AFN 24 million and 500 thousand by the National Rural Access Programme of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (NRAP/MRRD), with the financial support of World Bank.
Upon completion of this project, 8,000 rural people will have improved access to transportation facilities. The project which will connect Qal-e-Mirza, Qal-e-Salim Khan Payeen and Khak-I-Shahidan villages with district’s center will be completed in a period of eight months.
Since its inception in capital Kabul province, the National Rural Access Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (NRAP/MRRD) has implemented 250-km road and 180-m bridge projects. This is in a time that, construction work of 73-km rural road and 20-m Bridge is underway across Kabul province.
