At a cost of AFN two million and 439 thousand (US$35,000) funded by the National Solidarity Programme of Afghanistan's Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP) under the National Employment Generation Program, the rehabilitation of 40 kilometers in road projects was recently completed and handed over to the people in the vicinity of Shabarghan, the provincial capital of Jowzjan province.
It is to be noted that 500 local people were provided with short-term employment opportunities during the implementation of the projects. At the same time, approximately 22,000 families in various communities gained access to transportation facilities.
