Inaugurated by H.E. Eng. Nasir Ahmad Durrani - the Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, the Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Irrigation Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (Ru-WatSIP/MRRD) organized a training workshop under the theme of Sustainable Energy for Rural Development for 63 employees of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development from 24 provinces.
The attendees encompass 48 Engineers and a Social Worker from the provinces of Kabul, Parwan, Panjshir, Kapisa, Laghman, Kunar, Zabul, Urozgan, Helmand, Paktia, Paktika, Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Faryab, Jawzjan, Ghor, Daykundi, Nimroz, Farah, Badghis, Badakhshan, Kunduz and Nurisatn. The other participants of the Workshop include 10 employees from Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Irrigation Program and five others from the Afghanistan Institute for Rural Development (AIRD).
The attendees will be taught lessons in the area of renewable energy; later on they will come up with plans and raise their suggestions regarding the renewable energy projects.
The training workshop is organized at the conference hall of the Afghanistan Institute for Rural Development (ARID) which will continue for three days.
