KABUL - The United Nations in Afghanistan confirms that a security guard at one of its compounds in Kabul was killed today in a shooting incident.
A staff member of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) was also injured in the incident. The injuries are described as not serious.
The circumstances around this tragic incident are still being investigated.
UNAMA extends its condolences to the family of the victim and wishes our UNAMA colleague a speedy recovery.
