Seasonal Food Security Assessment (SFSA) 2016
The data entry for the SFSA has been completed in June 2016 and the data is currently being verified. Over 300 districts were reached in 2016, a large improvement compared to 2015, as FSAC directly contributed to data collection by sending MAIL extension workers in places where International partners did not have access to. In addition to the household food security dataset, a large market database has been collected, and will make the analysis of seasonal commodity prices and market functionality possible for many partners. The datasets will be shared on FSAC website by the end of July. Preliminary results on the food security status of each province will be presented in the July FSAC meeting and will be communicated to partners for the IPC analysis.
